An innovative R&D intensive medical device biomaterials company had spun out a subsidiary to target specifically the dental market, which it saw as an attractive opportunity and sufficiently different to core business to justify a special focus. The client had a number of challenges to grow the business including choosing the right business model, branding to project premium dental innovation and marketing to both users and influencers in the supply chain. The client asked our medical device consulting experts to critique their developing strategy in a workshop that included their senior team and our experts in the dental market and biomaterials. Our dental market expert who had held senior positions in a number of leading dental companies provided a top level review of the strategy with a more global perspective than had previously been considered and made recommendations for a future direction.
