We conducted a medical technologies industry consultation exercise (Leeds City Region), as part of the UK government’s science and innovation audit, by interviewing industry leaders to collect their views on what is required to accelerate growth of the sector.
We were asked by a leading North of England university to conduct a medical technologies industry consultation exercise as part of the UK government’s science and innovation audit to help understand the region’s capabilities in this sector of healthcare. Ultimately, the findings will be used to support the development of a government industrial strategy in medical technologies. We undertook in-depth interviews with a significant number of senior managers, mostly CEOs and Managing Directors, of medtech companies in the region and beyond. The interview process involved questioning on what support interviewees believed was required for their business and the industry more generally to thrive and grow, and questioning on the direction that the industry was taking and where the major opportunities were for future growth. These finding were summarised in a report.
We are a specialist medical device consultancy consisting of industry experts with long and successful track records in commercialising medical device products. We have broad functional and sector experience, and would welcome an opportunity to discuss with you any challenge relating to creating sustainable value from medical technologies.
